Longhua Piao, Chairman and CEO ¨C Mr. Piao was a Director and the Chief Executive Officer of WSP China since its inception, and was appointed Chairman of WSP Holdings in August 2007. Among the many awards received by him, the Wuxi Municipal People¡¯s Government honored Mr. Piao for his contributions toward the development of Wuxi¡¯s non-state-owned economy by naming him one of the top 10 private entrepreneurs of 2005.
Dato¡¯ Dr. Abdul Halim bin Harun, Vice-Chairman ¨C Dato¡¯ Dr. Abdul Halim joined the Board of Directors of WSP China in December 2004. He was appointed a Director of WSP Holdings from the Company¡¯s starts, and serves as its Vice Chairman. He is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, and obtained a Doctorate of Philosophy in Management and Organizational Development from the Irish International University in September 2001.
Xizhong Xu, Director and Assistant General Manager ¨C Mr. Xu joined the Board of Directors of WSP China in November 2004. He joined WSP China in December 2000 and is responsible for strategic investment planning and management. Mr. Xu was also appointed as a Director of WSP Holdings from its inception and serves as the Company¡¯s assistant General Manager. Mr. Xu received his bachelor¡¯s degree in economics from the Jiangsu Institute of Technology in July 1990, and has a professional certificate in accounting from the Ministry of Finance PRC.
Wai Kit Lau, Independent Director ¨C Mr. Lau is a co-founder and partner of Gobi Partners, Inc. He was an independent non-executive Director for Tianjin Development Holdings Ltd., China Insurance International Holdings Company Ltd., and Shandong Weigao Group Medical Polymer Company Ltd., all of which are listed companies. He is a Solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales, a Solicitor and Advocate in Singapore, and member of the State Bar of California. Mr. Lau received a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Hong Kong.
Jing Lu, Independent Director - Mr. Lu served as the standing Vice President of Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau and was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and standing Vice General Manager of Daqing Oilfield Company Ltd. He taught as an adjunct professor at China University and the Beijing Petroleum Managers Training Institute. He was a consultant to Daqing Hanwei Changyuan Glass Steel Tube Company. Mr. Lu graduated from the Department of Oilfield Exploration of the Beijing Institute of Petroleum.
Dennis D. Zhu, Independent Director - Mr. Zhu has been a Managing Director and head of Greater China for Oaktree Capital Management LLC since December 2005. Mr. Zhu was the chairman of the Greater China Operating Committee of JP Morgan Chase, and a Managing Director in the Beijing representative office of JP Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Ltd.
Anthony J. Walton, Independent Director- Mr. Walton has accepted the appointment as an independent director of its board of directors in January 2008. Mr. Walton has been the Vice Chairman,Americas, for Standard Chartered Bank since 2005. He was a Partner at McFarland Dewey & Company, LLCand served as President of Armstrong Holdings Corp. |
